Six Emerald Ridge students were honored at Pierce County’s annual YESS environmental youth film festival on Sunday and two seniors walked away with the top prizes.
Elizabeth Silveria won the first place trophy and $250 prize and Espi Carlos won the $50 audience choice award. Gabe Forman, Emma Renda, Jayden Hull and Julie Sun also made short films that were screened at the event. All six received a $25 gift card for being finalists.
