Girl’s Golf at League Tournament

Girls Golf at League Tournament

After a wet round of golf, the day one results are in and it was a great day in Bremerton.  The Jags are currently tied for 2nd place with Bellarmine Prep and only one stroke away from 1st place Curtis.  Tomorrow, the Jags will be paired up with these two teams with a League Tournament Championship on the line.

Junior Lexi Trummert shot a one-over par 73 (Which is amazing, but probably could have easily been 3-4 under with better conditions) and is currently in 1st place by one shot.  Lexi is looking to defend her title as League Champion and become one of the few if ever players to repeat as champion in back-to-back years.  Sophomore Addison Stilli started slow, but after sinking a 40-foot putt for birdie on #12 got things going and shot 1 over on the final 7 holes to end in 4th place overall. Senior Riley Isings played her best SPSL Tournament round and is currently tied for 16th place and sophomore Jenelle Burritt shot her all-time low round of 91 to finish day 1 in 21st place. Finally, our two freshmen golfers, Jemma Yancey and Jacque Flynn, had awesome rounds finishing with a 95 and 97 respectively which is amazing for their first time. To have all 6 players score under 100 is amazing.
