ERHS has a new club! The first meeting of the “Old Fashioned Ladies’ Social Hour” was on Wednesday, March 19th. Here’s what happened, and what you can expect to hear about (or possibly participate in) in the future!
As it was the first meeting, members discussed what kinds of activities they would want to do in the future of the club. There were many discussions of fun crochet patterns to try out and work through as a group; and for later in the year, good books that could be read for a book club like experience. A highly talked about event idea was a sort of “yarn drive” where students can bring in yarn and crochet/knitting supplies so the club can have materials, and new members who are new to yarn work can craft without worrying about spending money to get into a new hobby. There will also be varying teas and snacks at meetings, with members being free to bring in their own favorites to share with the group! If crochet, reading, tea, and friendly conversation sounds like a good time to you, consider stopping by on Wednesdays from 3-4 in the CCC to check out the Old Fashioned Ladies’ Social Hour!
